Project Manager

Consultant must be able to work with the client to edit and update functional specs, report specs, interface design documents, conversions and enhancement specs in order to deploy an integrated solution. Knowledge of this integration is handled by other technical consultants. Must have excellent client consulting skills, good communication, be a self starter and work with the client in small groups and work independently in order to meet project objectives and deliverables. UNIX System Administrator

DBA Engineer/DB2

Description: DB2 Database Administrator

  • Install, configure, and administrate DB2 in the AIX/UNIX environment
  • Manage and monitor TMS.
  • Client/Server maintenance and administration and monitoring.
  • Perform scheduled backups of datafiles/archive logs and restoration/recovery of database, datafiles, tables, etc.
  • Capacity planning and performance tuning of databases
  • perform database reorganizations
  • Perform database imports/exports.
  • Develop, test, and implement database backup and recovery strategy.
  • Resolve SAP/Server /DB2 database problems.
  • Develop policies/procedures/documentation for the administration of DB2 databases including database/logical views, table definitions, structures and match codes
  • Review/Analyze impacts to Application modifications
  • Perform and assist in the analysis and optimization of SQL calls and their indexes
  • DB2 Command-line execution a MUST!
  • Korn shell scripting a MUST!

Desired Efficiency:
4 years plus, DB2 DBA experience (command line - not Control Center).
4 years plus, Korn Shell script experience (write, debug scripts to Implement database modifications necessary for automation)

VICCS Employee Benefits

VACATION

Employees at VICCS accrue vacation throughout the year. Vacation must be taken during the same calendar year in which it accrues. Vacation accrues at the rate of 3.08 hours per pay period.

During the first five calendar years of service with VICCS, employees may accrue ten (10) vacation days per year. After five years of service, this increases to fourteen (14) vacation days. Employees working over ten years, may receive an extra day of vacation per year, with a maximum cap of 20 days.

Employees must utilize their vacation before the year's end. Roll-overs are not authorized. USE IT OR LOSE IT POLICY IN EFFECT. Employees terminated either by resignation, layoff or termination prior to the first 90-days probation are NOT eligible for paid vacation. Employees separating from employment with VICCS after the first 90 days of probation will be paid for any unused vacation time.

SICK LEAVE

Employees are allowed five (5) sick days per calendar year. Any sick days over one (1) day requires doctor's note.

Sick days accrue during the year at the rate of 1.54 hours per pay period. Sick days not taken during the calendar year in which they accrue may not be carried over to the following calendar year. Employees cannot use their paid sick days prior to completing their 90-days probationary period. Employees separating from employment with VICCS will not be paid for any unused sick time.

PERSONAL DAY

Employees receive one (1) personal day per year. Employees cannot use their personal day prior to completing their 90-days probationary period. Employees must utilize their personal day before the year's end. Roll-overs are not authorized.

HOLIDAYS

The VICCS Corporation provides eight (8) paid holidays per year. VICCS observes the following holidays**:

  • New Years Day

  • President's Day (George Washington's Birthday)

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Day after Thanksgiving

  • Christmas Day

DISCOUNT CLUBS

VICCS employees are eligible for membership up to 1 discount club in a year (e.g., Price club, Sam's, etc.). Submit your membership pay receipt and expense form to the Accounting Department to be reimbursed for membership fees.**

90 DAYS EMPLOYMENT BENEFIT ELIGIBILITY

Employees are entitled to take vacation, sick leave, and the personal day only after completing 90 days of employment. Employees are eligible for holiday pay only after completion of 90 days employment period. Holidays are NOT accrued during the 90-days probationary period.

VOTING

VICCS' policy is to encourage its employees to participate in the election of government leaders; therefore, flexible time is allowed, at the beginning or end of the workday, to exercise this right. Please be sure to discuss your schedule change with your supervisor to ensure proper coverage of your workstation.

MEDICAL PLAN & DENTAL PLAN

VICCS offers a comprehensive and attractive medical and prescription drug plan to employees at a reasonable cost. Employees are eligible for this plan after 31 days from the end of the calendar month in which the employee begins employment.
